How it all began

Michael Glasse, Peter Koral and Jerome Dahan founded 7 For All Mankind in the fall of 2000. They were faced with a great barrenness in search of a jean that combined luxury with casualness. By combining their love of high-quality products with the personable, casual charm of denim, they set out to change the denim landscape forever.

Founded in Los Angeles, 7 For All Mankind redefined the denim industry (a trait that remains an integral part of our brand today). The founders found that innovative fabrics, an unparalleled fit and attention to detail were the key to a luxury garment. When you apply this concept to denim, it is no longer a work-wear item or a casual staple, but something to be coveted. Thus began a new era with the 7 For All Mankind jeans.

Making a statement

Glasse, Koral and Dahan created a new way to wear denim, reimagining the jeans as a sophisticated choice for virtually any time and place. Working with luxurious fabrics, creating sophisticated contours and focusing on small details such as intricate stitching, the premium denim sector was born, which 7 For All Mankind jeans pioneered. In 2002, 7 For All Mankind introduced denim for men, followed by a children's collection in 2005. The denim brand quickly gained a huge following, and its nickname became 'Sevens.'

The iconic 'squiggle' on the back pocket became a sign of style-conscious insider knowledge. Fashion editors, stylists and Hollywood's elite began to love 7 For All Mankind jeans, and soon everyone from Kim Kardashian to Prince Harry was wearing them.
