The first collection of the British brand Universal Works was launched in 2009 - created at the kitchen table of co-founder and designer David Keyte with the aim of producing real, honest clothing based on fit and good design.
David grew up in the Midlands province in the 1970s. The years with his family - simple workers who liked to dress well - had a lasting impact on David, as did his apprenticeship in the 1980s, when subcultures in sport and music were increasingly developing. In total, David can now look back on 30 years in the fashion industry, including stints at Paul Smith and Maharishi, and gained relevant experience working side by side with some of the best minds in the industry.
